I believe that we serve a God who is passionately and intentionally in pursuit of our hearts and desires for us to encounter Him. In John 3:16, we read:
“For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.” (John 3:16 NIV)
This verse is a foundational scripture when citing the love our Creator has for His creation. This love is radical and game changing. This love is sacrificial and relentless; reckless even. This verse gives us a look into the heart of our Father who so longingly wishes to be with us. Within this verse, we can catch a glimpse of how God initiates and anticipates relationship with us before we even begin to come to Him.
When we worship, we are not calling out to God for him to answer, we are responding to Him. As we approach conference with anticipation, let us not forget that God desires to meet with us in every aspect of life every day before conference has started and even after it has ended. Our access to Him is not restricted to these three days, He invites us and desires for us to seek His presence every day, in every moment. As we seek God’s presence, He promises that we will find Him.
“You will seek me and find me when you seek me with all your heart.” (Jeremiah 29:13 NIV)
